There are many seasons of life. There are times when we feel on top of the world. Then, there are the "other times." What we must remember when we have those other times, is that nothing is permanent. Time does not stand still, but rather, it is always moving.
Thich Nhat Hanh once said "If you suffer, it is not because things are impermanent. It is because you believe things are permanent." I could not agree more.
Suffering is sometimes unavoidable -- but what if we were to remember next time we are suffering, that time is not standing still? That this too, will pass. Would that help us maintain perspective and minimize our suffering? I have the upmost confidence that it will.
Thought of the Day: Sometimes we just need a little perspective to keep things in line. When we're suffering, it feels eternal, but it's not. Let's remember that times stands still for no one, and will always keep moving. Whatever you are going through -- although it feels permanent -- will pass!
Have a wonderful day!
